The utilization of non-lethal weapons in the control of disturbances of public order is well known because it represents the only acceptable option to solve situations that involve large number of people. In many occasions they are demonstrations for a just cause that at the end gets out of control of the organizers and begins to endanger the public safety, property or even the citizen’s right of moving from one place to another.
In the case of sporting events such as soccer games, it is more and more important that police forces have non-lethal weapons, especially pepper sprays to refrain fights between fans from opposing teams and field invasions.
